313 Billionaires

If you are reading this and have over a billion dollars, give yourself a pat on the back - you are one of *only* 313 billionaires in the United States. If you find yourself in the 'not a billionaire category', however, just work a little harder - several million times harder.

I'm all for rewarding those who work a little harder, show a little more initiative, or have some really awesome ideas. But, is it maybe a sign of a sick society when we have 313 people with more than a billion dollars, while hundreds of thousands of people lack jobs, health care, shelter, and enough money to live comfortably?

A billion dollars seems like a lot of money.
